Alteration to Rules of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union – Mining and Energy Division - Northern Mining and NSW Energy District Branch

The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union has lodged a notice and declaration with the Fair Work Commission concerning the alteration of the rules of the Northern Mining and NSW Energy District Branch of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime Mining and Energy Union, Mining and Energy Division.  The alterations insert a new rule 13 into the rules.  If approved, rule 13 will abolish the office of Vice-President (B). 

The notice, which sets out the particulars of the alteration, was lodged with the Fair Work Commission on 13 March 2020 pursuant to Regulation 126 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Regulations 2009.

Alteration to Rules of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union – Mining and Energy Division - Queensland District Branch

The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union has lodged a notice and declaration with the Fair Work Commission concerning the alteration of the Rules of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime Mining and Energy Union, Mining and Energy Division, Queensland District Branch.  The alterations are to rules 8, 9 and 10 of the Queensland District Branch Rules. 
 
The notice, which sets out the particulars of the alteration, was lodged with the Fair Work Commission on 20 December 2019 pursuant to Regulation 126 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Regulations 2009.

In accordance with the rules of the Organisation, elections will be conducted for positions as outlined in the following notices, which can be downloaded. The Australian Electoral Commission will conduct elections for the Queensland and Victorian Districts, and those notices will be made available in due course.

Nominations

Nominations must be in writing and comply with the registered rules of the Organisation. Nominations will be accepted at any time from 6 April 2020 and must reach the Returning Officer's office, postal or email address not later than 11:00am on 27 April 2020.

If a ballot is necessary, voting material will be posted to Local Returning Officers and where applicable directly to members who are receiving a postal vote, from 11 May 2020. Members should notify the Organisation of  any changes of address.

The ballot will close at 5:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) on 1 June 2020.

Nomination forms are available from the National Office, the District Branch Office, or Lodges of the Organisation in relation to the Northern, South Western, Western Australian and Tasmanian Districts, and from the Australian Electoral Office in relation to the Queensland and Victorian Districts.
